isaiah is one year old

Sweet little Isaiah came in with his mom and dad, Jen and Eric, last December to surprise their families with photos for Christmas. About a week after their secret session, Jen's mom called us and said, "Jen talks about your photography all the time and I know she'd love to do a session with you. I want to surprise her with a gift certificate for their Christmas present." Oh my!!! We were in a pickle! They were surprising each other with the same gift!!! After MUCH debate on what to do, we decided to sell a refundable gift certificate, not tell either one about the other, and hope that it would end up being a funny surprise for both of them! It worked!!! (Whew!) They both loved their gifts, and Jen and Eric flew in from their home in Florida last weekend to redeem their gift certificate for Isaiah's one year photo session. Eric, and Jen, thank you so much for coming to see us! We have loved getting to know you since your first session and it was so much fun to see you again!!! A special thanks to Jen's sister, Jessica, for coming to help with the session! Isaiah is such a cutie....thanks for sharing him on his birthday with us!!!

scott, mindy, kaeden, and khyla

Scott and Mindy met us in Noblesville Sunday for a family photo session. Scott and Mindy moved to Indiana from Colorado a few years ago, and could not find a school in town for their two beautiful children that offered the same benefits that their Colorado Primrose had offered. So.....long story short: they opened one! Scott and Mindy are such genuine, loving, caring people, and I would trust Samantha's life in their hands! They have the most well-behaved and sweet children that I have ever met!!! And of course, you can tell by the photos how cute they are too! We had an awesome time hanging out with them and finding new hidden spots to take photos at the park. Mindy and Scott, thank you so much for meeting us out for a photo session! We hope you enjoy this little sample of your photos...

john, erin, and kaylee

Erin has to be one of the sweetest people I've met at Primrose! She and her husband John met us at a park in Noblesville with their precious 2 year old daughter, Kaylee, for some family photos Sunday morning. Kaylee reminded us so much of Samantha in the sense that she is on the go at all times! She had so much fun running free around the park! Her vocabulary amazed us. She was speaking in full sentences and she is only two! We had so much fun meeting this family out & we loves chasing Kaylee around! Thank you, John and Erin, for sharing your little one with us! Enjoy your sneak peek from the day...

richey, jacole, cody, and kelsey

Jacole is Samantha's other teacher at school, and her family met us right after Nicole to do a family session Saturday. We are so lucky that we have gotten to know them through school! We couldn't ask for better teachers and they're families are wonderful too! Richey and Jacole hadn't had photos done since their daughter was about 6 (she's 11 now), so they figured it was about time! Cody and Kelsey were SO well behaved, and got along so well! We had a great time---even though I was paranoid about the possibility of poison ivy & oak being in the ground we were stomping around in! :) Thankfully all of us are itch-free today! Richey and Jacole, thank you so much for sharing your family with us! Here are a few from the day...

jason and nicole

The first weekend we opened for family sessions we had quite a few takers! Several of them we know from Sammi's school, Primrose. Nicole is one of Samantha's teachers, and she and her husband Jason met us out to take some outdoor photos on Saturday morning. When they got married they didn't get to do many outdoor photos so they wanted to meet at a park. Sam LOVES Nicole, and we do too! It's not wonder why...she is so cute & spunky, SO GOOD with kids, and just so sweet! We met her husband for the first time, and he was great too! Nicole and Jason, thank you so much for meeting us out to do your photos! Here is a sneak peek from the day...

elliott is one year old

If you've been to our website lately, then you know Elliott! His 6 month photos are on the splash page, which is the first thing you see when you go to www.brandphotodesign.com. Well, Mr. Elliott just turned ONE! He is as cute as can be & the most well-mannered, even-tempered, laid back kiddo!!!! He is SO CUTE, and the faces he makes are priceless! His mom, Sara, met us at the park today (dad decided to let Elliott be the main attraction of this session) and we loved bouncing around with the two of them. Thanks so much, Jack and Sara, for bringing Elliott back to see us! We hope you enjoy your FIRST birthday bash tomorrow!!! Enjoy this sneak peek...

studio update

We have walls! Our crew started putting up the studio walls on Monday! They are 10 foot concrete panels that are maybe 20 feet tall, I can't remember. Anyway, it is an amazing process to watch. Truck after truck pull in with two panels each. The guys connect two chains to the panel and the crane, the crane lifts the panel off of the truck and the guys guide the panel onto the spot. A guy in a lift drills a "dead man" brace to the wall while the guys on the ground secure it to a concrete pad in the ground. Each panel took maybe around 10-15 minutes to set.

It is so amazing to see the building take shape!

ashley and andrew are engaged

Andrew and Ashley stopped by for their engagement session this weekend. They came in from Illinois to see their nephew, Grayson, who happens to be one of our favorite portrait clients. We made a last-minute decision to stay in the studio for most of the shots due to the suffocating heat and humidity of good ol' Indiana. We did run outside for a few shots at the end of the session. Andrew and Ashley, thank you so much for traveling to see us and for your willingness to try anything at the shoot! We cannot wait for the wedding...it's right around the corner!!!

pete and jenni say i do

What an amazing wedding we photographed this weekend!!! Pete and Jenni are so sweet, so sincere, have such awesome families, and were so much fun to work with on their wedding day! Aside from drowning in the heat of the outdoor photos, it didn't feel like "work" AT ALL! We definitely felt like we were at the wedding of dear friends. Every detail of the day was gorgeous and so well thought out. We always expect to have some "hiccups" throughout a wedding day---it's just part of the day---but not Saturday! Everything flowed, everyone celebrated. It was perfect. Pete and Jenni, thank you SO MUCH for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day and especially for making us feel welcome, trusted, and treating us like family. Enjoy your sneak peek of images and enjoy your trip to Antigua! We can't wait to see you when you return!

bryan and jessica are having a baby

Jessica has been the closest thing to a sister that I have ever had. I've known her for 26 years. We grew up together living as next door neighbors, high school bffs, college roommates, maids of honor in each others weddings, and we will forever be the best of friends! And Bryan...I've known him for as long as I can remember too...since we were little & climbing in tree houses in the back yard. And I can tell you...THESE TWO ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER! (They've known each other their whole lives too!)

So....it goes without saying that I am absolutely THRILLED to be getting "nephew" in October from these two love birds! Jessica and Bryan are the cutest couple ever, and their son will be the luckiest kid in the world to have them as his mom and dad. I could go on for pages about how much I love them, but they'll kill me if I never get to the photo part!!!

Jessie and Bryan, thank you SO MUCH for coming in from Texas for your shower and your photos!!!! Thank you for trusting us to take them and for spending so much time hanging out with us today!!! We love you and are so happy for you!!!!!!! More to come later, but here is a sneak peek for the blog...

elisa and tony are engaged

Elisa and Tony came in for an Engagement Session yesterday. They are getting married next month so we wanted to make sure we took their engagement photos while they were still engaged! They are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and are so natural in front of the camera! I can't wait for their wedding!

It was great to see you guys! See you next month! I promise I won't make you trek through the mud! Well, we'll see.

Here are a few images from the shoot...

kaeley

Today Kaeley and her parents, Sarah and Alex, came in to see us! What a cute little girl! She has such a big personality for such a little girl and her smile just makes you happy when you see it. And boy does she love gold fish crackers! She eats those things like a champ!

We had a great time hanging out with you and your family Kaeley!

Here are a few images from the day...

griffin

On Monday Griffin and I headed over to the IMA to take a few photos. Griffin's mom, Amy, is Brooke's hairstylist and my barber (that's manlier than saying I have a stylist, right?!) and has become a great friend through all of the snipping. Griffin just turned 3 this month and is a great little guy! He's so cute, friendly and smart and was a champ throughout the entire shoot. I believe he was rewarded with a trip to the zoo for behaving so good! Congrats on that Griffin! Hope you enjoyed the Hippos!
