chelsea is a senior

In 2005 we photographed the wedding of Amanda and Adam & just loved their families! Their wedding was at Amanda's Aunt Barb's gorgeous home. Barb and her daughter, Chelsea, came into the studio today to have Chelsea's senior photos taken. We had so much fun getting to know Chelsea better today! She and her mom are so easy to talk to and we had a lot of fun together. Chelsea is really a beautiful girl. She is so pretty and sweet...you'd never know from a first impression that she is such a terror on the soccer field! We really, really enjoyed our time together. Thanks so much for coming in today!

We also were blessed with the company of Abby Prather for the session today, an amazing makeup artist with so much talent & a dynamite personality too. A few weeks ago we met with Abby and agreed that blending Abby's makeup and fashion sense to our artistic photography style would be a grand slam. We love her! We are now offering her services with all of our sessions (based on her availability). We hope to have her company on many, many sessions in the future! We would recommend using her to everyone. She is WORTH IT! Thanks, Abby!

montgomery portrait session

On July 4th, I photographed Jane and Dan's surprise 25th anniversary party. Today, the whole family stopped in for a portrait session. They were so much fun and helped keep the mood light! It was great to see them all again. Check back soon to see their online anniversary album.

tara and scott say i do

You know what they say about time flying when you're having fun...well, today FLEW BY! We had such a good time with Tara and Scott. We met them at the Village of West Clay today for their pre-ceremony photography. When we arrived in the beautiful park, we discovered that much of the area we were planning on shooting in was already taken by another wedding! That news might have upset most people...but not Tara and Scott! Nothing could put a damper on their day, because the entire day was just about being together and sharing their love for each other. They were amazing. (And we found plenty of great spots to take photos.) They have been living in different states for the last 8 months, which made their first meeting together (as well as their wedding day in general) that much more special and emotional. We just loved how much they care for each other. They are both such considerate and kind people. We are so excited for them that they found each other and will share their lives together. The pastor talked about couples growing old together, Tara's dad made mention of it too, and we can easily see why...Tara and Scott will definitely grow old together. We also LOVE the photos! Thanks, Tara and Scott, for organizing such a great schedule for the photography! Our day was not only on time, but relaxed, fun, and we believe the photos really show the perfection of the day! (We have sunburns to prove it too!) We wish you a memorable trip to Jamaica and a smooth transition to your new life in Colorado together!

kristi and chad are engaged

On Monday Kristi and Chad stopped by our studio for an engagement shoot. They have been engaged since April but have known each other since the 5th grade! From the first shot to the last they were so comfortable in front of the camera. They made my job so easy! I had a great time hanging out with them! We wish them all the best for their upcoming wedding and marriage! Congratulations!

kristen and Scott say i do

Last Saturday we traveled to Plymouth, Indiana to photograph Kristen and Scott's beautiful outdoor wedding. We were a little worried that it might be super hot, but the lack of humidity made for an absolutely gorgeous day! Kristen's dad escorted her down the perfectly landscaped path of flowers, over a small white bridge, and through the crowd of close friends and family, then to the gazebo to meet the two loves of her life: Scott, her groom, and Buddy, their parrot! Buddy was of course a large part of their wedding day and accompanied them through their vows and much of their day. The reception was held inside on location, where Kristen and Scott enjoyed spending time with all of their guests. At the front of the room stood a large photo of the two of them when they started dating...9 years ago! They looked soooo young in the photo, in which they were both in high school. We think it is so neat that they have been together for so long, and grown together over the years. We really enjoyed spending the day with them both. They were very sweet and kind people. We wish them all the best in all the years to come!

...and here is BUDDY!

emily and rick say i do

Emily and Rick were married last Friday at St Luke's. We had such a blast working with them and their entire wedding party! There is usually a one in a million chance that EVERYBODY will arrive and be ready on time...so this group was the ONE out of the million! They were not only on time, but were an excited, happy, genuinely NICE, cooperative bunch! We absolutely loved working with them. Emily and Rick were so adorable and sweet together; a couple that many admire for their love and commitment to each other. It became apparent at every opportunity that both of them are just GENUINE people. The reception was held at the beautiful Mansion at Oak Hill, where guests laughed, danced, and filled the night with so many beautiful memories. Individual wedding cakes filled the center of each and every table. In lieu of a bouquet toss, Rick's grandparents received the bride's bouquet at an anniversary dance, where they were honored for being married 62 years. We wish Emily and Rick 62++++++++++ years of wonderful marriage!
