olivia and alex are 15 months old

Ben has been a friend of mine for many, many years.....and I feel like I truly started to get to know him on our first day of college. When I spotted him across the dorm lobby as I was standing all by myself, scared and nervous, he had the same terrified look on his face and we immediately sprinted toward each other! Ha ha...makes me laugh. He met his wife, Jackie, in college too and we've all been great friends since. Last March they had a BEAUTIFUL set of twins, Alex and Olivia!!! They live in Connecticut, so I had to wait over a year to meet the little ones....and last week was it!!! Ben and Jackie, thank you SO much for making the trip all the way to Indiana (driving through the night, literally) and for coming in for some photos! It was awesome to see you and to finally meet your little princess and little prince!!!  They are adorable and oh so fun!!!! You're braver than we are, but we hope to someday make a road trip out to see you too!!!!

the good, the bad, and the furry

We've had a lot going on at the ol' studio lately! We have been trying to get the studio together so we can finally have that open house we have been teasing everyone with. We've had so much help from our dads, shelf building, hook hanging, lawn mowing etc. It's great to have such handy people around to use as free labor!!

Unfortunately, with every step forward, we seem to take a step or two back. Our beautiful bamboo floor that we proudly laid ourselves is buckling and floating in the hallway. Apparently it is not sticking to the concrete. I finally got fed up with dealing with the "fun house floor" at the entrance that I ripped out a section last night. Once we finalize things with the insurance company I will rip out the rest. Anyone looking to get out some pent-up aggression let me know. It is very therapeutic to rip this stuff out! Hopefully we can get the floor prepped and ready for round two soon!

We had a cute little mascot for a day on Tuesday. This little baby bunny took shelter from the heat on our porch. His name is Squishy I think.

kennedy is 19 months old

What can I say but that daddy should be worried....very, very worried about this little beautiful princess when the boys start coming around!!!! (Hee hee, sorry Ryan!) She is BEAUTIFUL! Those adorable little curls and cute little faces she makes make your heart melt! We are so lucky we had the chance to photograph Kennedy! Thank you so much, Ryan and Staci, for bringing in your pretty little Kennedy to visit us!

keaton is two weeks old

We love this family!!!! KJ has been in to visit us several times over the last couple of years and we LOVE to watch him grow!!!! This time, we got to see KJ as a big brother to his two week old brother, Keaton! They are so adorable and KJ is doing SO well being a big brother! Keaton is so precious. So teeny tiny. So perfect. Already makes me want to have another one! Kahn, Wendy, KJ, and Keaton, THANK YOU so much for driving all the way from Illinois to see us! carter is 18 months old

Sweet Carter! Remember this little guy when he was one year old? Well, he's as cute as ever and is growing up so fast!!!! He is on the move and loves to walk around. He's curious about everything and loves to explore! Leslie and Cory, thank you so much for sharing your little man with us!

amy is 24 weeks pregnant

We have been so lucky to have some gorgeous expecting mamas in our studio lately & we have had a ball experimenting and trying new things! Amy is our hair stylist (mine, Dan's and even Sammi's!) and she is expecting her second sweet baby boy this October! You might remember Griffin from his 2 YEAR and 3 YEAR photo sessions.
