reagan is six months old

Sweet little Reagan came to meet us at the park today!!! She is six months old today (Happy 1/2 year birthday, Reagan!) and cute as can be! She has grown so much since her newborn and three month photos, and she does more each time we see her. Today had to be the hottest, stickiest, nastiest days for a photo shoot, yet they were all troopers through it! Cara, Josh, and Reagan, thank you so much for meeting us out today! We always love seeing you!!!!

samantha is 18 months old

Our beautiful, smart, loving... crazy, busy, independent, mind-of-her-own daughter, Samantha! Sammi got her hair cut last week, and seeing as how she is just over 18 months old, we decided it was time for a photo shoot. Here's the thing... if any of our clients are EVER worried about our patience with their children, our loving Samantha has given us the ability to be patient beyond words. WE UNDERSTAND how hard it can be and how FRUSTRATING it can be to invest time and money into a photo session and feel as though your child is just not cooperating.

However, we always manage to walk away with great shots, funny moments, and lots of memories caught on camera. To our surprise, today was no exception...and these photos are a few moments of quiet happiness among many, many moments of running (in the wrong direction), screaming, crying, whining, and defiance from our little Sammi. And the truth is, she just doesn't like the camera. She really is a wonderful kid that just turns mad when the camera is pointed at her. After all, she is our child...we all like to be on the other side of the camera. :)

doug and kristian say i do

You may remember Doug and Kristian's engagement photos... Well, their beautiful wedding was Saturday! They are a very sweet couple, described in a toast as being "like a couple who has already been married five years." They do complete each other, support each other, share everything with each other. Their families are also very close, which I thought to be extremely rare and uplifting. Kristian's brother was married three weeks ago, and he and his new wife are joining Kristian and Doug for a joint honeymoon this week. Meanwhile, Kristian's parents and Doug's parents are sharing a five day vacation along with Kristian's three-year-old daughter, Ava. How cool is that?!?! We feel honored to have been asked to share in the wedding day, and we are thrilled to share a few of the photos from the wedding day. Doug and Kristian, thank you so much for inviting us to share in your celebration! We wish you a fantastic honeymoon and a life full of laughter, joy, and memories. Congratulations!

isaiah is one year old

Sweet little Isaiah came in with his mom and dad, Jen and Eric, last December to surprise their families with photos for Christmas. About a week after their secret session, Jen's mom called us and said, "Jen talks about your photography all the time and I know she'd love to do a session with you. I want to surprise her with a gift certificate for their Christmas present." Oh my!!! We were in a pickle! They were surprising each other with the same gift!!! After MUCH debate on what to do, we decided to sell a refundable gift certificate, not tell either one about the other, and hope that it would end up being a funny surprise for both of them! It worked!!! (Whew!) They both loved their gifts, and Jen and Eric flew in from their home in Florida last weekend to redeem their gift certificate for Isaiah's one year photo session. Eric, and Jen, thank you so much for coming to see us! We have loved getting to know you since your first session and it was so much fun to see you again!!! A special thanks to Jen's sister, Jessica, for coming to help with the session! Isaiah is such a cutie....thanks for sharing him on his birthday with us!!!
