colton is 1 year old

Sweet little Colton and his parents, Chad and Diana, came in to see us the day before our trip to Vegas. We are a little late in getting the blog up...sorry guys! Colton's family had come in for a session when he was six months old. He has grown so much in six months! It is so much fun to see him grow and change so much in such a short time. isabella's easter dress

Sweet little Isabella! Molly is a very good friend of mine, and Isabella is her daughter. I LOVE when she brings her in for a photo session because I love having an excuse to see her! We are usually living in different cities, so it is always a pleasure when Molly comes in town to visit! Isabella is getting so big and SO beautiful! Despite the weather, Molly drove in from West Lafayette to take some photos of Isabella in her Easter dress. She was a perfect angel and so easy to photograph! She just sat by herself and smiled, smiled, smiled! What a princess. We love her!

Molly, even after you move to Florida next month (we are happy for you but oh so sad), I hope that you will still bring that beautiful baby girl in to see us as often as you can!!!

owen is 1 year old

Remember cute little five year old Isabella? Well, her ADORABLE one year old brother, Owen, had his turn at a photo session yesterday! The whole family is so wonderful. Mom is just so sweet, dad is a riot and makes the kids laugh, Isabella is so well behaved and good with the camera that we often forget she's just five, and Owen is just a doll! He is just starting to walk and he loves to be on the go at all times! Between Cheerios and dad's humor, we were able to get him to smile at the camera for some really cute shots! We just adore this family and we hope we will continue to see them for many years to come! John and Michelle, thank you so much for bringing your family in to spend some time with us. grayson is 6 months

We first photographed Grayson and his parents, Liz and Nick, (not to forget their perfect pooch, Jasper) in November when Grayson was just over three months old. Boy, has he grown!!! Still as cute as can be...and seriously the best behaved kid ever!!! His parents keep telling us that he is always as happy and content as when we see him...and we believe them!

This photo shoot we did at their home, which is beautiful! They've done all the decorating themselves, and it is so nice. It's always fun to shoot a family in their home. We know that they will appreciate looking back at what their home looked like as well as their family, and it gives us a chance to really get to know them while keeping them comfortable. This session was no exception, and we thoughrouly enjoyed our time together!

Nick, Liz, Grayson, and Jasper...as always...what a pleasure. Thank you so much! We already can't wait to see you again!

kj is 18 months

Sweet little KJ came back to Indianapolis to visit our studio on Friday! The first time we saw this cute little guy he was celebrating his first birthday. Well, he is 18 months old now and we CANNOT BELIEVE how much he's learned in the last six months! We were so happy to see him and his mom and dad, Wendy and Kahn, for the photo shoot!

He's now walking, says so many words, and even knows some colors, songs, and games! He is SMART! And still just as cute as can be. His favorite word seems to be "guitar", and he LOVES to play his guitars! It's hilarious! He is a ROCK STAR! He was a little camera shy, but we plan on breaking him of that as we see him grow at his sessions. :)

Wendy and Kahn, thank you so much for coming all the way from Illinois to see us! We always look forward to seeing you all! We hope you had a safe trip back!!!

josh, cara, and reagan

Josh and Cara were one of our favorite wedding couples of 2006, so we were thrilled to hear that they were having a baby this year!!! Reagan was born on February 4, and was just 8 days old when we arrived at their home to take photos this week. She is not only the most adorable newborn, but she has a FULL head of hair! What a crazy thing to be able to put a bow in a baby's hair as soon as she's born! :)

Thank you so much, Josh and Cara, for inviting us into your home to meet precious little Reagan! We are excited to watch her grow throughout the year. CONGRATULATIONS!

mary and matt say i do

On Saturday we had our first wedding of the year! Mary and Matt are two of the most fun, happy, genuine people! They are the kind of people that make you just feel good to be around them. You can imagine how happy we were to start of the year with this wonderful couple!

At first we were actually a little intimidated to meet their families because Mary's dad is the former president of Purdue University, Dr. Martin Jischke. He was the president at Purdue the last year we attended the university, so we felt like we were meeting celebrities! They couldn't have been nicer! The entire day was relaxed and fun and we really enjoyed our time together.

Mary and Matt were married at the beautiful Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, followed by a rockin' reception at the Indiana State Museum. Following an elegant introduction and dinner, the sounds of the band Toy Factory filled the air and the dance floor filled.

In lieu of cake, this couple had cupcakes... and there's a story behind them! When the Jischke kids were little, if they wanted something (especially when there were cupcakes around) they would lick one so that no one else would get to eat it. When Mary decided Matt was the one for her, she LICKED him across the face and declared, "My cupcake!" Hence, the cupcakes......and, the photo below of Mary licking Matt at the alter. :) They are adorable! Mary, I hope you don't mind us telling that story!!
